Apply to Volunteer
At Camp Ta-Kum-Ta we’re always looking for passionate, fun-loving, kid-loving volunteers to create special moments for our children. And with the expansion of our programs, we need more volunteers than ever! If you think you have what it takes to create special moments in the lives of our children, please apply to volunteer for one of our 2020 programs by clicking HERE.
Application Window #1: Apply by and be medically cleared by December 1st
These Volunteers will be considered for ALL 2020 camp programs. (If you plan to Volunteer for Winter Weekends, Camp Rap-A-Hope, Mom’s Retreat Weekend and Playgroups from January through May, PLEASE complete your application immediately.)
Application Window #2: Apply by January 31st and be medically cleared by March 1st
These Volunteers will be considered for programs that take place between June 1st and October 31st
Applications will close on January 31, 2020.
All volunteers must complete 2 steps:
Step 1: complete your application in Camp Brain.
Please choose all programs that you are interested in being considered for when completing your application. If you apply for more than one winter weekend, feel free to share if you have a preference. We would also ask that you mark the programs you have applied for on your calendar so if you are selected, you will be available to volunteer. It is important to note that Camp Brain does not allow you to log back in once you have submitted your application. Once you have completed your application in Camp Brain, you will receive a confirmation email with directions on how to complete Camp Doc.
Step 2: complete your medical information in Camp Doc.
Please start Camp Doc even if you do not have all of your medical information (i.e. this year’s flu shot). This allows us to review your Camp Doc profile, track your progress and send you reminders if additional medical information is needed. While Camp Doc will notify you that your profile is complete, you are not officially medically cleared until you are notified directly by Dave Caterino. You can log into Camp Doc as often as needed to update medical condition changes or if you have a new medical condition. You should update Camp Doc throughout the year.
